Angel Gomes training with Pogba and Fernandes gives tantalising glimpse of potential Manchester United future

Manchester United fans have waited a long time to see Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba train together.

United have been training in fours and, along with Pogba, Fernandes and Nemanja Matic, Angel Gomes was tasked with playing alongside the club’s two most talented midfielders.

While Gomes’s future is unclear, he would be wise to look around this week and see what he would be leaving behind. We previously explained what a great teacher Fernandes could be for the 19-year-old. And that is before you throw Pogba into the mix.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to keep Gomes beyond this summer. And the player should stick around.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to keep Gomes beyond this summer. And the player should stick around because training has given a tantalising glimpse of a possible future.

One day if the teenager signs a new deal, we could see a United starting XI with all three. It would be interesting to see if and how the trio could operate in one team.

Fernandes certainly has the versatility to ensure he and Pogba shine together rather than negate each other’s influence. Gomes has the innate talent to flourish in their presence on the training field.

He is clearly seen in the same bracket by Solskjaer and there are few other clubs in the world where he would be learning from – and ultimately shining alongside – two such talents.

Gomes, Fernandes and Pogba can play together. The question is: Will it ever happen?

Douglas luis is a Target for liverpool

Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa is a player that has been internally discussed by Liverpool according to  Ben Jacobs . The Brazilian lynchpin is a key cog in Unai Emery's side and Villa are unlikely to entertain a sale. Luiz signed a new long-term Villa contract last season. Liverpool are still thought to be looking at signing a defensive midfielder in the final stretch of the window.

Darwin Nunez credits Marcelo Bielsa

Nunez was again named on the bench for the third successive match this season. But he has certainly given   Jurgen Klopp   food for thought with his performance as a second-half substitute. The 24-year-old came on in the 77th minute and equalised just four minutes later. The turnaround was complete in the third minute of stoppage time with another expert finish as Liverpool held out for a famous win. But Nunez has now revealed how recent conversations with his new international boss have helped. Bielsa was appointed Uruguay manager in May, 15 months after being sacked by Leeds. Nunez says the experienced boss has given him advice on aspects of his game that need improving. He told  Sport 890 : "Bielsa showed me some things that seem positive to improve. I hope to meet him next week and do my best for the team." He added: "Some things he thinks are better. Like, when the opposing team is behind, not to run in front of the second centre-back: to run behind so that he...

what inspired Arsenal away kit for 20-21

While many compared the kit to a crime scene, we are able to reveal what is the (likely) inspiration of the Arsenal 20-21 away kit. Arsenal FC 20-21 Away Kit Inspired By Famous Marble Hall Of Highbury Stadium The marble hall is part of the East Stand of Highbury. The Marble Hall has a bust statue of Herbert Chapman, the manager who transformed Arsenal in the 30s into a major football club. The East Stand, containing the famous Marble Halls, is a Grade II listed building. Built in 1936 to compliment the Victorian houses in the surrounding area, it was constructed in the Art Deco style of architecture which was popular between the wars.
