Tottenham give Man Utd 'more expensive' asking price for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

  Manchester United have reportedly been told to stump up £35million for the signing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as  Tottenham  want even more money for selling to a Premier League rival.  Erik ten Hag  is keen to bring in another defensive-minded midfielder before the transfer window closes this week. The report points out that Tottenham's asking price to United is 'more expensive' than what teams outside of the Premier League have been quoted. Hojbjerg was removed from Tottenham's leadership group by Ange Postecoglou in a major shake-up behind the scenes this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could find himself with a number of key selection dilemmas when selecting his Manchester United team for their first game of the resumed Premier League. The league is set to resume on June 17th, with United's first match after a three-month lay-off amid the coronavirus pandemic, to take place on June 20th or 21st.
