Clement Lenglet: La Liga break has been good for Lionel Messi & Antoine Griezmann

Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet says the break from football has been a big help to stars such as Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.

The Catalan giants are preparing to return to action on June 13 against Real Mallorca, and Lenglet feels the two forwards will be refreshed from a rare time out.

“We are fine, we have had many weeks without being able to train normally, but we have been able to train at home. We have not had many vacations in recent years.

“This break has been good for us to work, and we have had more time to recover or rest. Players like Leo Messi or Antoine Griezmann never have vacations, between World Cups, Euro Cups or the Copa América ... This break has been especially good for them so they can rest.”

Messi looked particularly hungry in training last week, while reports in the Spanish press have described the Barcelona attackers as being in great shape and “like motorbikes.”

I hope to meet him next week and do my best for the team." He added: "Some things he thinks are better. Like, when the opposing team is behind, not to run in front of the second centre-back: to run behind so that he...
