Coco Gauff protest speech

The 16-year-old tennis player emerged earlier in the year as a credible prospect to be the next dominant player of the women's game.

Gauff attended a protest to explain her thoughts on the Black Lives Matter cause.

"I think it's sad that I'm protesting the same thing she (her Grandma) did 50-plus years ago," Gauff began.

"I'm here to tell you guys this. We must first love each other no matter what. We must have tough conversations with friends.

"I've been having tough conversations all week, trying to educate my non-black friends on how they can help the movement.

"Second, we need to take action. We're all out here protesting and I'm not of age to vote but it's in your hands to vote for my future, my brother's future and your future. So that's one way to make change.

"Third, you need to use your voice, no matter how big or small your platform is. I saw a Dr King quote: 'The silence of the good people is worse than the brutality of the bad people.'
"You need to not be silent. If you are choosing to be silent you are choosing the side of the oppressor.

"I heard many things this past week, and one of the things I heard is, "Well, it's not my problem." If you listen to black music, if you like black culture, if you have black friends, then this is your fight too.

"It's not your job, it's not your duty, to open your mouth to say, 'Lil Uzi Vert is my favourite artist but I don't care what happened to George Floyd. How does that make sense?

"I demand change now. It is sad that it takes another black man's life from us for all of this to happen, but understand this has been going on for years.
This is not just about George Floyd. It's about Trayvon Martin, this is about Eric Garner, this is about Breonna Taylor.

"I was eight years old when Trayvon Martin was killed, so why I am here at 16 still demanding change? It breaks my heart. I'm fighting for the future for my brothers. I'm fighting for the future of my future kids. I'm fighting for the future of my future grandchildren.

"We must change now, and I promise to always use my platform to spread vital information."

what inspired Arsenal away kit for 20-21

While many compared the kit to a crime scene, we are able to reveal what is the (likely) inspiration of the Arsenal 20-21 away kit. Arsenal FC 20-21 Away Kit Inspired By Famous Marble Hall Of Highbury Stadium The marble hall is part of the East Stand of Highbury. The Marble Hall has a bust statue of Herbert Chapman, the manager who transformed Arsenal in the 30s into a major football club. The East Stand, containing the famous Marble Halls, is a Grade II listed building. Built in 1936 to compliment the Victorian houses in the surrounding area, it was constructed in the Art Deco style of architecture which was popular between the wars. Arsenal: William Saliba already two step ahead of Mavropanos

Everyone can’t wait to see what William Saliba can be at Arsenal and, on the bright side, he’s already ahead of Konstantinos Mavropanos. Arsenal ‘s defense is going to look so damn good next season it’s gonna be mental. I know I gush about it a lot, but  Mikel Arteta  has worked literal magic in turning David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi into a defense that doesn’t give up a crapton of goals per match. In fact, they give up less than a goal a game. Combined. Two of the biggest defensive “clowns” out there. United in sturdiness. Next season, we’ll be starting with fresh faces and the same defensive philosophy that Arteta has already used to rejuvenate a dead defense. Namely, William Saliba, who has joined the club from Saint-Etienne and is looking to get his footing in the starting XI. Saliba can be what Arsenal wanted Mavropanos to be Saliba isn’t the first young defender ticketed for big things, however. It was just a few years back that  Konstantinos Mavropanos  made ...

Pochettino tight-lipped on Cucurella

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Marc Cucurella is in contention to start their Carabao Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday but did not guarantee his future beyond the transfer deadline. The Spaniard has been linked with Manchester United and Pochettino said he wasn't aware of any move for the 25-year-old, but refused to be drawn on the possibility of him leaving. “I cannot talk about supposition or rumours. For tomorrow he [Cucurella] is going to be able to play,” the Chelsea boss said. “The club did not communicate [anything] to me. All of the players that are in our squad are in our plans even if they didn’t play at the moment.”
