Douglas luis is a Target for liverpool

  Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa is a player that has been internally discussed by Liverpool according to  Ben Jacobs . The Brazilian lynchpin is a key cog in Unai Emery's side and Villa are unlikely to entertain a sale. Luiz signed a new long-term Villa contract last season. Liverpool are still thought to be looking at signing a defensive midfielder in the final stretch of the window.

Pochettino tight-lipped on Cucurella

  Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Marc Cucurella is in contention to start their Carabao Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday but did not guarantee his future beyond the transfer deadline. The Spaniard has been linked with Manchester United and Pochettino said he wasn't aware of any move for the 25-year-old, but refused to be drawn on the possibility of him leaving. “I cannot talk about supposition or rumours. For tomorrow he [Cucurella] is going to be able to play,” the Chelsea boss said. “The club did not communicate [anything] to me. All of the players that are in our squad are in our plans even if they didn’t play at the moment.”

Tottenham give Man Utd 'more expensive' asking price for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

  Manchester United have reportedly been told to stump up £35million for the signing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as  Tottenham  want even more money for selling to a Premier League rival.  Erik ten Hag  is keen to bring in another defensive-minded midfielder before the transfer window closes this week. The report points out that Tottenham's asking price to United is 'more expensive' than what teams outside of the Premier League have been quoted. Hojbjerg was removed from Tottenham's leadership group by Ange Postecoglou in a major shake-up behind the scenes this summer.

Darwin Nunez credits Marcelo Bielsa

  Nunez was again named on the bench for the third successive match this season. But he has certainly given   Jurgen Klopp   food for thought with his performance as a second-half substitute. The 24-year-old came on in the 77th minute and equalised just four minutes later. The turnaround was complete in the third minute of stoppage time with another expert finish as Liverpool held out for a famous win. But Nunez has now revealed how recent conversations with his new international boss have helped. Bielsa was appointed Uruguay manager in May, 15 months after being sacked by Leeds. Fulham are in talks to sign Alex Iwobi

  Fulham are in talks to sign Alex Iwobi on a permanent deal from Everton. Iwobi is in the final year of his contract and has failed to agree to a new deal. Marco Silva worked with Iwobi during his time as manager of Everton. Another unnamed Premier League club is also interested.

Everton confirm Beto signing

  Everton have confirmed the signing of striker Beto from Udinese. The Toffees are paying around £25m for the Portuguese forward who will immediately improve their frontline. And he is seemingly delighted to join the club after Everton reignited previous interest this summer. "It feels good to join Everton," Beto said. "I have always appreciated them as a club. "Everton is a big, big club in the Premier League, well respected and has big history. It was easy to make this move. "When a club like Everton tries to buy you in January and then comes again in the summer, you feel like, 'Okay, they want me for real', so that made the decision easy for me as well. My idol, Samuel Eto’o, played here, too, which makes it even more special."

The Danish defender had been touted as a possible replacement for Jurrien Timber, who is set to spend the majority of his first Gunners season sidelined by injury. 24yo was offered to #AFC during recent transfer talks. Nelsson has a £21m release clause but Gunners looking at alternatives. Mikel Arteta will have been encouraged by Timber's potential impact after a solid performance at left-back in the Community Shield earlier this month. Steve Round leaves Arsenal by Mutual consent

 Club staff were informed of the news on Thursday afternoon, with an email sent around stating that Round had left his position by ‘mutual agreement’. The email said: “As preperations for the new men’s season get underway we can confirm Steve Round has left the club by mutual agreement’. “During his time with us, Steve played an integral role working with our men’s first team players and helping the significant progress which we have made in recent season. “We thank Steve for his contribution to Arsenal and which him and his family all the best of health and happiness.” Round joined Arsenal alongside Arteta when the Spaniard was appointed as Unai Emery’s replacement in December, 2019. Albert Stuivenberg will continue in his role as Arteta’s assistant.

Liverpool: Dominik Szoboszlai deal

 The 22-year-old has been heavily tracked by Newcastle following an excellent season in the Bundesliga that yielded six goals and eight assists. However, Liverpool emerged as frontrunners to sign the player following a meeting with his agents earlier this week and now look increasingly likely to agree a deal after further discussions on Friday. Liverpool have a strong relationship with RB Leipzig and have allowed forward Fábio Carvalho to join them on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old moved to Anfield from Fulham last summer for an initial £5m and on a five-year contract. “He will now continue his development and gain more experience in Germany with Leipzig,” said a Liverpool statement.

We are delighted to announce that Jen Beattie has signed a new contract with Arsenal. Jen played a key role for us last season, making a significant contribution on and off the pitch as we won the FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup, reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and secured qualification for the 2023/24 edition of that competition.
